T O P I C R E V I E Wlioneye68I question the validity of a "composite" chart. How can we assume that all planets/angles/lights carry the same "punch"? If my moon is being heavily aspected, and thus the effects & qualities of it being amplified in my natal chart, but his is completely UNaspected in his natal chart, then it's not really accurate to do a 50-50 meet-me-in-the-middle type of merging of the two moons. It might be more like 80-20 in terms of planetary influence. Do y'all get what I'm trying to say?theFajita3I don't know the answer to your question but I bet somebody here does!------------------food is the only art that nourishes! lioneye68I'm hoping soweird purple sparklesoh me too me too! CatHi Lioneye I'm not too sure exactly what you mean. What are you looking at the composite chart in respect of?To see how two people are likely to "get on" ...initially you need to look at their individual natal charts - which will show their individual expectations plus how they are likely to approach/behave re relationships. Then look at the synastry chart - to see how they then interact with each other.A composite chart is really only looked at later once a relationship is really established. I tend to look at the composite chart as "the relationship itself". So if the other charts "fail to gel" and a real relationship isn't established then the composite chart would never really come into play.Sue lioneye68What I mean is, you know how we arrive at all the placements in the composite chart by finding the halfway point between the two bodies or angles, right? My moon, for example may be a much stronger "pull" in the dynamics of the relationship because it's being thrusted front-and-center in my Natal chart. His is quiet for the most part. So to assume that each moon has equal influence on the entity known as "relationship", would be untrue. I would have more confidence in a composite chart if it were to find the meeting point between each body or angle based on a rating of influence, or grading according to "weight" or activity. Not sure if I'm explaining myself properly. I hope so.AphroditeSounds like Cosmodyne Astrology, assigning weights. Long formulas, I've only used computer for ease. But, it does work for the most part. As for the other inquiry, it just depends on the perspective and what one think works best. A personal choice as much as what house system to use, whether one believes in progressions, Epochs, asteroids, Chiron, etc. You might like Cosmodynes, and may be Uranian Astrology too.
